Privacy Policy

Ocular Software LLC ("Ocular", "we", "us") operates joinocular.com and the Ocular review monitoring service. This policy describes what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Account information. Your email address is your login identity. We use passwordless magic links, so we never store a password. When you log in we set a session cookie (ocular_session) that keeps you signed in; it is an essential cookie, not a tracking cookie.
Monitor configuration. The public links you paste for the business pages you want monitored, plus your alert settings such as your star threshold.
Public review data. Ocular collects reviews from the public pages you connect (Google, Yelp, Facebook). This is information already published on those platforms. We never ask for, receive, or store your credentials for those platforms.
Billing information. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch Ocular's servers; we store only your subscription status and plan.
Website analytics. Our marketing site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-focused tool that does not use cross-site tracking cookies or fingerprinting.
How we use it
We use the data above to provide the service: syncing reviews, analyzing review text for sentiment and topics, showing you trends, sending the emails you asked for (login links and low-rating alert digests), and billing your subscription. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your account data and collected reviews while your account is active. Deleting a monitor stops collection for it. If you want your account and its data deleted, email us at support@joinocular.com and we will remove it.
Your choices
- You can delete monitors, or your account, at any time.
- Alert emails are configurable; login-link emails are required to sign in (we have no passwords).
- You may request a copy of the data we hold about you by emailing us.
Changes and contact
